Notice for Cheque Book Holders

As part of Arab Bank’s commitment to its customers and in line with the Central Bank of Bahrain’s requirements, the implementation of an Electronic Cheque Clearing System will begin in the second quarter of 2011.

The implementation of the new Electronic Clearing System, which will require the use of new cheques, will enhance security and increase cheque clearing efficiency.

You are kindly requested to visit your branch to apply for a new cheque book(s) as per the Central Bank of Bahrain’s regulations and to return the old cheque book(s). Noting that the old cheques will be accepted until 1 August 2011. After which, a levy may apply for clearing old format cheques
